Elum Energy is a fast-growing company based in Paris with offices in Morocco, South Africa, UAE, India, Singapore, Mexico & Brazil specialized in monitoring & control solutions for solar power plants. Elum technology allows for simple and optimized operations of rooftop solar plants or utility scale ground PV plants coupled or not with energy storage systems (batteries) and in some cases with existing thermal generation units (diesel generators).

Our reference customers are constructors (EPCs) and operators (IPPs) of solar power plants and/or energy producers such as TOTAL, ENGIE, GreenYellow, SolarCentury...

Our technology currently equips more than 1000 solar power plants in more than 40 countries, from 100kWp to 100MWp.

Those plants directly power factories & shopping centers for example, are built to feed into the national grid (Europe), or are built to power remote / islanded cities (Caribbean, South Asia or in some African countries).

Our technology, ePowerControl allows to supervise and automatically control these solar hybrid power plants in an efficient way, and its declination in different by-products allows to manage both "simple" type hybrid power plants in self-consumption and more complex power plants of several MWp in grid injection.

Job Description

Elum is looking for a SCADA/EMS Commissioning Technician to join its Operations team and support the delivery of medium to large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects. You’ll be part of a multicultural and talented team of engineers and project managers working on renewable projects around the world.

🔧 What You’ll Do

Your main mission will be on-site commissioning and testing for French PV projects whether at integrator factories, electrical stations, or directly on project sites. You may also support international interventions depending on team needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Preparing and reviewing testing protocols
Cabinet inspections & electrical verifications
Configuring and testing SCADA, EMS and PPC systems
Communications testing and optimization
Electrical drawings of cabinets (AutoCAD Electrical)
Supporting bug identification & product improvement initiatives
Delivering training to newcomers and supporting colleagues
Contributing to processes, tools, and deliverables optimization

Preferred Experience

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Automation, or related field (BTS, DUT, BUT, Bachelor’s…)
2 - 5 years’ experience in SCADA/control system projects within the PV industry, with proven on-site experience
Strong understanding of electrical systems (HT/BT)
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical design
Familiarity with automation, control systems, and protocols (Modbus, IEC104, OPC UA, IEC 61850, OCPP…)
Linux environment knowledge
IT & network architecture knowledge (VPN, VLANs, OSI/TCP-IP model, redundancy, etc.)
Driving licence mandatory
Full professional fluency in French & English (Spanish or other languages are a plus)
