Elum Energy is a fast-growing company based in Paris with offices in Morocco, South Africa, UAE, India, Singapore, Mexico & Brazil specialized in monitoring & control solutions for solar power plants. Elum technology allows for simple and optimized operations of rooftop solar plants or utility scale ground PV plants coupled or not with energy storage systems (batteries) and in some cases with existing thermal generation units (diesel generators).

Our reference customers are constructors (EPCs) and operators (IPPs) of solar power plants and/or energy producers such as TOTAL, ENGIE, GreenYellow, SolarCentury...

Our technology currently equips more than 1000 solar power plants in more than 40 countries, from 100kWp to 100MWp.

Those plants directly power factories & shopping centers for example, are built to feed into the national grid (Europe), or are built to power remote / islanded cities (Caribbean, South Asia or in some African countries).

Our technology, ePowerControl allows to supervise and automatically control these solar hybrid power plants in an efficient way, and its declination in different by-products allows to manage both "simple" type hybrid power plants in self-consumption and more complex power plants of several MWp in grid injection.

Job Description

Your mission

You'll own complex, international PPC/SCADA projects from kickoff to commissioning — with Africa as a key frontier. You'll be the technical backbone and the client's go-to person, working with a tight-knit team of engineers who are as passionate about solving hard problems as they are about doing great work.

This isn't a "follow the process" kind of role. We want someone who builds the process.

What you'll own:

Project Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end project management: budget, timeline, contracts, and risk — autonomously

  • Coordinate internal engineering resources (SCADA development, hardware design) and subcontractors

  • Be the single point of accountability for customer satisfaction, from kickoff to go-live

  • Report progress to leadership and flag risks before they become problems

Technical Execution

  • Design SCADA cabinet electrical architecture and plant network topology (high availability, fast comms)

  • Configure and master Elum's PPC solution; lead onsite and remote commissioning

  • Produce crisp technical deliverables: functional analyses, electrical diagrams, I/O lists, network architecture, exchange table mappings

  • Define SCADA HMI technical specifications

  • Select and configure hardware (network, I/O interfaces, and more)

Growth & Impact

  • Lead internal initiatives to sharpen team practices, templates, and tooling

  • Design new device integrations to expand Elum's compatibility with BESS, Gensets, and beyond

  • Build and deliver training for newcomers and colleagues

  • Surface bugs and product improvements that push Elum's solutions forward

  • Support pre-sales with technical assessments and risk evaluations

Preferred Experience

What you bring

Hard skills

  • Master's in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent

  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in PPC, SCADA, or control systems within utility-scale PV — this is non-negotiable

  • Deep knowledge of SCADA architectures and their application in solar power plants

  • Solid grasp of communication protocols: Modbus, IEC 104, OPC UA, IEC 61850, OCPP

  • IT network architecture fluency: VPNs, VLANs, redundancy, OSI/TCP-IP

  • Onsite commissioning experience — you actually enjoy being in the field

  • Bonus points for: BESS/hybrid/off-grid experience, Python/C++/Matlab, energy modeling tools (DIgSILENT, PSS/E, PSCAD)

Languages

  • English & French: full professional fluency (both mandatory)

  • Spanish: a serious plus

  • Any additional language is a genuine asset in our global team
