Elum Energy is a fast-growing company based in Paris with offices in Morocco, South Africa, UAE, India, Singapore, Mexico & Brazil specialized in monitoring & control solutions for solar power plants. Elum technology allows for simple and optimized operations of rooftop solar plants or utility scale ground PV plants coupled or not with energy storage systems (batteries) and in some cases with existing thermal generation units (diesel generators).

Our reference customers are constructors (EPCs) and operators (IPPs) of solar power plants and/or energy producers such as TOTAL, ENGIE, GreenYellow, SolarCentury...

Our technology currently equips more than 1000 solar power plants in more than 40 countries, from 100kWp to 100MWp.

Those plants directly power factories & shopping centers for example, are built to feed into the national grid (Europe), or are built to power remote / islanded cities (Caribbean, South Asia or in some African countries).

Our technology, ePowerControl allows to supervise and automatically control these solar hybrid power plants in an efficient way, and its declination in different by-products allows to manage both "simple" type hybrid power plants in self-consumption and more complex power plants of several MWp in grid injection.

Job Description

You'll take full ownership of Italian PV projects — managing complex PPC/SCADA deployments end-to-end within a team of 13 engineers. You'll be the technical lead and the client's main point of contact, from project kick-off to commissioning. Onsite activities are a core part of the role — if you thrive in the field, this is made for you.

What you'll own

Project Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end project management: scope, timeline, budget, and client expectations

  • Be the single point of accountability for customer satisfaction

  • Manage subcontractor activities and ensure technical alignment with clients

  • Support pre-sales with technical assessments and risk evaluations

Technical Execution

  • Master and configure Elum's PPC control solution — lead onsite and remote commissioning

  • Deploy and contribute to the design and testing of Elum's SCADA solution

  • Configure IT hardware: servers, switches, I/O modules, firewalls

  • Design plant network architecture for high availability and fast communication

  • Review and validate electrical design of PPC & SCADA cabinets in collaboration with the Design & Manufacturing Manager

  • Produce crisp technical deliverables: functional analyses, electrical diagrams, I/O lists, network architecture diagrams, exchange table mappings

Growth & Team

  • Lead internal initiatives to sharpen team practices, templates, and tooling

  • Design new device integrations to expand Elum's compatibility with BESS, Gensets, and beyond

  • Build and deliver training for newcomers and colleagues

  • Surface bugs and product improvements that push Elum's solutions forward

  • Provide Level 2 support and maintenance for sites in service

Preferred Experience

What you bring

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent

  • 5–10 years of experience in SCADA and control systems within utility-scale PV — experience in Italy and/or France is a strong plus

  • In-depth knowledge of SCADA architectures and their application in solar power plants

  • Knowledge of ATVISE and/or N3uron is a big plus

  • Familiarity with communication protocols: Modbus, IEC 104, OPC UA, IEC 61850, OCPP

  • IT network architecture fluency: VPNs, VLANs, redundancy, OSI/TCP-IP

  • Linux environment knowledge

  • Onsite commissioning experience — you actually enjoy being in the field

  • Experience with BESS, hybrid, or off-grid control systems is a plus

  • Bonus: Python, C++, Matlab

  • Full fluency in English and Italian — French is a very strong plus
